Hines Ward joins Plum Fusion

 

 Hines Ward has found his career after football, soccer coach.  The u14 Plum Fusion made Hines an honorary coach at the taping of the Hines Ward Show.  Look for him on the sidelines of an upcoming game. Watch the girls on November 15 at 11:30pm on KDKA.

Plum Gold Thunder wins Leggett Cup

 

Plum Gold Thunder the U-14 Div. B girls team finished 8-0 for the season with 7 shut-outs and finished in first place. They also had the privilege to host the Leggett cup where they posted two more shut-outs to take first place. They finished the season scoring 56 goals while allowing just 1 goal.

 

Great season girls and look forward to another great season coming up.

  Our region's annual soccer skills contest was held at Larry Mills Park and once again Plum had a great showing.  Congrats to all of the winners!

The 11th Annual Kick-Off Classic brought out the best of the best once again this year and once again the u11 girls Plum Revolution came out on top. 3-PEAT next year?

Canonsburg 4v4 Tournament Part I

 

Two teams from Plum Area Youth Soccer attended the Canonsburg 4v4 Tournament on June 28, 2008. Congratulations! to the Plum Crew U-8 boys who won First Place at the Canonsburg 4v4 Soccer Tournament on June 28th.

Canonsburg 4v4 Tournament Part II

 

Two teams from Plum Area Youth Soccer attended the Canonsburg 4v4 Tournament on June 28, 2008. The Plum Lightning U10 Boys finished in 2nd place losing in the Championship game in Sudden Death overtime 4-3.

Plum Lady Mustangs run successful soccer camp

 

The Plum Lady Mustangs soccer team had a huge turnout for their semi-annual soccer camp.  Everyone involved learned a lot and most importantly had a lot of fun. Keep an eye out for upcoming camps.

U12 Warriors wins at East Allegheny

 

The u12 Plum Warriors went to the East Allegheny Basherboard Tournament on March 8, 2008.  The Warriors (U-12 Boys) were undefeated in 5 games to take home the first place prize.

Plum Pythons go to Disney

 

The u-8 Plum Pythons went to the Kick It World Championships in Disney.  They had a great time and represented Plum Soccer well in the tournament.

On a very warm and sunny day in August, the u10 girls Plum Revolution went to Larry Mills Park and WON Plum's 10th Annual Kick Off Classic!  They are coached by Dennis Casarcia and Mike Proviano.

Team qualifies for World Cup in Disney World

The u8 Plum Boys continued their march to the World Cup. At the Kick- It Regionals in New Brunswick, NJ the boys qualified for World Cup Championships in Disney. They are coached by Chris Lisovich and Mike Goodwin.

Plum Lightning Win 2nd in Tournament to Help Fight Cancer

Plum Lightning strikes for 2nd place at the Zeta Tau Alpha "Kick Out Cancer" soccer tournament held at Duquesne University on February 10. The one day tournament was sponsored by the sorority to raise money for the Susan B. Komen Cancer Foundation. The U-10 boys lost to South Park in the Championship game to win 2nd place. Congratulations to the Plum Lightning!

PowerStrikers Win 2nd in the Monroeville Kicks X-mas Tournament

The Plum PowerStrikers (U-11 Girls Travel) won 2nd place in the Monroeville Kicks Xmas Tournament where they competed in the U-12 Girls Division.

2006 Volunteer of the Year Amy Cook

Amy Cook joined the Board a couple of years ago, holding two positions, the last as head of Concessions. It is one of the tougher jobs and Amy did a great job for us. We hate to see her leave, but she goes as this year's PAS Volunteer of the Year. Good luck in the future. And remember Amy, you will always be a part of Plum Area Soccer!

2006 Referee of the Year Mikaela Rogers

Plum Area Soccer (PAS) would like to recognize Mikaela Rogers as our 2006 Referee of the Year. Mikaela, a grade 8 referee, has been refereeing for PAS for the past four years. She has been involved in soccer as a player since starting in the U-6 In-house program. She is currently playing on the AFFC Cup team and is a member of the Plum High School Lady Mustangs.

Mikaela has attended the PA West Referee Camp for the past two years. This experience has helped her gain practical referee game skills and confidence to referee upper-level soccer games. PAS would like to congratulate her on a job well done.

Plum Soccer Player Takes 3rd in State Elk's Soccer Shootout

Andrew Nolan who played U-8 In-house for the Plum Crew team
recently made us proud competing in the Annual Elk's Soccer Shootout.

He participated in the Elk's Soccer Shootout, winning Plum, the local district in Oakmont, and went on to the State competition at State College where he captured third place! Great job Andrew.
