Plum Area Youth Soccer Club
Act 33/34
Clearance Policy
Effective 12/1/07:
To protect our children and our
club, the following guidelines have been established to facilitate this :
All team coaches, assistant coaches, and board members are
required to certify for Risk Management. Failure to comply will disqualify
the individual from participating in Club positions. In addition the Risk
Management Committee has the right to ask for clearance in background checks for
any individual it deems appropriate.
Certification for Risk Management can be obtained in 2 ways.
Go to the
PA West
website and
register through the
eKidsafe Online Risk Management
System.
It will cost $10 and be good for 2 years. Or you may submit a current
Act 33/34 Clearance to the Risk Management Committee. This information
will be held by the head of the Risk Management Committee only. The Club
will reimburse $10 of the cost per person every 2 years for certification.
The Risk Management Committee will consist of the Executive
Board of Plum Area Soccer. In the event a report would find reason(s) to
reject an applicant for a position, a Hearing of the Risk Management Committee
will be held. Notification by Certified Mail no less than 5 days before
the hearing. There the individual may present facts or arguments
concerning the rejection. The Committee will have 5 days to notify, by
Certified Mail, the individual on the decision. All decisions of the Risk
Management Committee are final.
The Club will be
making every effort to insure that the children participating in our program are
offered the safest environment possible, for our kids sake.
